WCCSWA Response to COVID-19

The West Cook County Solid Waste
Agency (WCCSWA) is closely monitoring the COVID-19 situation and will provide
updates and guidance as warranted.

As all state and local
governments know, solid waste management is an essential public service. 
Recently the U.S. Department of Homeland Security has issued a memo identifying
those who “ensure the effective removal, storage, and disposal of residential
and commercial solid waste and hazardous waste” as essential critical
infrastructure workers.

Even though WCCSWA physical
offices have closed, we have not suspended operations and will continue to
serve you and conduct WCCSWA business during this challenging time. Please feel
free to contact anyone on the Team should you need our assistance. 

I encourage you to monitor the
CDC as well as the Illinois Department of Public Health websites, for
additional information and guidance relating to COVID-19.

Thank you for your continued understanding and support as we all try to navigate these uncharted waters. The WCCSWA community will get through this, together.
